Need California camping guide, looking for best California campgrounds.
I haven't been camping in ages and my group wants to plan a camping trip.
Any specific places I should look into?

Get the book "California Camping, The Complete Guide" by Tom Stienstra. It is broken down into 16 distinct geographic zones. Each of these zones represents a chapter as if it were a miniature book on its own.
