Hi, my name is Mariana. I'm 17 and from NYC.
And I'm a tourist hater.
Its not so much the European ones, I understand their plight. They're in a whole new country and I can sympathize with their ignorance. At least they keep out of the way.
Its those goddamn American tourists. Just looking at them gets under my skin. With their tropical shirts and cameras strung around their fat middle-America necks. Standing in the middle of the frickin' street with a map outstretched, a constant "DURRR" uttered from their obnoxious mouths. Wandering around midtown saying "I THINK WE'RE RIGHT HERE HONEY". You're pointing at the Bronx, you asshat.
And those stupid front backpacks aren't going to save you from pickpockets and thieves. If anything it just makes it obvious that you're a clueless dingbat from the midwest who hardly knows how to get back to his hotel.
If I hear "Excuse me, how do I get to 42nd street?" one more time, I'm going to have to stab someone.

I can totally sympathize.
Every October tour buses come from NYC and Jersey and cars with NY plates invade Western Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire. All driving 10 miles under the speed limit and stopping in the middle of the road to point at leaves on trees or maybe a deer, or some Canadian geese in a field.
Every other car stopping to ask "Hey! You's know hows to gets to dat punkin faRm wit da hay ride an hot apple cider?
It's so bad, I want to take my yard rake and shove it up their @zz and make a scare crow out of them.
But then I remember that all the money they are paying boosts the local economy-- hotels, restaurants, gas stations, farm stands, etc etc.
Take a Valium, smoke a joint, and pretend you are a deaf/mute or give them directions to the wrong place and secretly follow them to photograph their misguided journey.
