Army and/or marine rucksacks?
something else I was woundering about was what is carried in the rucks. Granted what you all carry when doing the infantry thing is specialized for each mission but what about long training hikes out in the woods? Also, even though women are not in combat rolls, you see female MPs and what have out on patrols do what ever they are doing; not really knowing but there has to be times when they are hiking for more than 2 or 3 days and carrying a ruck, so what would they be carrying in them? Is it the same as the men (if so, way to go girls!)? Also back doing long training hikes? Are the gear and clothing simular to civi backpackers' gear? How (specialy the womens because I am a girl myself) are the rucks packed? Would there be any helpful hints I could use for backpacking? This is more geared to females who cared the old rucksacks but all the same, where in the ruck dose all your clothing and gear go?
During Missions everyone carries the same thing. There is a S.O.P. (standard operating procedure) put out before every mission. This covers what is to be in the rucks. If you have good NCO leadership, then this list of items that is to be carried is gone over, and then checked prior to the mission...
