which city is more likely to find size 13.5 man shoes among Beijing,Shanghai,Xian,Yunnan,Guilin,Tibet?
my friend gone to visit china,will stay for several months,he may need to buy shoes there as he does lot of hiking. which city more possible to find good quality shoes? preferably not silk street or any knock off market since the quality there is also knock off.
Well the in the north of China people tend to be much taller and bigger, so larger sizes are pretty easy to find. I have small feet and I had trouble finding hiking shoes I like small enough for my feet.
Now some people might say it is hard, but in fact shop around Shanghai and Beijing you will be able to find something.
Yunnan has many foriegners, and so lots of hiking gear.
Tibet, forget it, you will are lucky to get anything there. A chinese friend went there for a month and forgot to take lipstick. She could find anywhere that sold any.
Anyway, I walk and hike a lot. A good pair of hiking boots will last me 6 months. If I buy leather hiking boots (not that north face over priced junk) they will last a year or more. But it is really hard to buy leather hiking boots in China.
Everything is available in China if you know where to look. Shops may be prepared to order them if you ask in advance.
