hiking backpack strap help?
I have a field pack large internal frame spo100 pack that i got from the army navy store. i was packing it and noticed two random straps on both sides of the shoulder rest. i usually put my tent inside the part that covers your gear and strap that down but putting it near those straps seems like it would work better.anyone know what thonse straps are used for?
Military equipment does not have random fittings.
Those are for fixing things. Whatever you want to fix.
Tents normally go outside a pack, in a waterproof cover if one isn't supplied with the tent
Random? RSM will have a blue fit. Dill Sergeant will go ballistic!
Strap fasteners, multipurpose, backpack, 1 inch, are precisely placed for general convenience.

Have some good treks.
Bungee cords are handy too. You can place them randomly if you wish.
Keep smilin...but not on parade. (struts off to the coffee shop with loose bootlaces)
Here is a random number generator so you can determine precisely random places to fix the bungee cords.
Keeps things in proper random order then.
