has anybody ever been hiking on mt.rainier in washington,i need your review for a school speech pleease helpme
if anybody can give me there review or some dramatic story well not dramatic but if you have ever bee there please tell me about it in full detail thanks!!!
We used to go hiking up the Carbon River trail every summer to the Carbon River glacier. It was a beautiful trail that went along the river, then after a couple of miles you got to cross the river on this scary, rickety footbridge, then hike a ways up more, and when you came around a corner - WHOA! - there was the toe of the Carbon Glacier...HUGE!! You could sit right next to it and have a picnic lunch and hear the ice groaning and cracking inside it. It was so amazing. If you kept going up the trail next to the glacier, you would come out in this incredible field of wildflowers with an amazing view of the top of the mountain. I always wanted to back-country camp in that field but we never did. It was always just a day trip. Now I understand that trail is washed out after the big storms of 2006 so we will never get to do it again.
