Hiking Grand Teton
Chicago to visit Yellowstone in 1 week. Advice, tips, suggestions?
I have one week to visit Yellowstone and was planning to fly into Jackson Hole to see Grand Teton as well. I am interested in seeing the top sights but also doing a fair amount of day hikes. Any suggestions of how to plan my trip? I'm leaving in 1 week!
In Jackson make sure you take in the Bar J Chuckwagon - Jackson Hole, Wyoming - Chuckwagon Supper and Western Show. Folks of all ages enjoy it.
Once in Yellowstone just take in whatever your time allows. I have been to Yellowstone many times & there isn’t any must see attractions I would recommend anymore than the other. Of course everyone & their dogs have to visit Old Faithful geyser
.If you are interested in a senic drive After visiting Yellowstone Park exit through the Northeast Entrance, which leads you to Beartooth Pass.The Beartooth Highway is an All-American Road that has been called "the most beautiful drive in America," by late CBS correspondent Charles Kuralt. Due to heavy snowfall at the top, the pass is usually open each year only from Memorial Day in late May through Labor Day in September
One other suggestion before you get to Jackson. Rent an ATV at Alpine Wy & go for a cruise up the Greys River road. Buetifull country & theres not a ton of people there like Yellowstone & The Tetons.
