Hiking For Beginners
Hiking for Beginners

Are Timberland Euro Hiker boots okay for a beginner hiker?
I just bought these boots and was wondering if they would work for hiking?
I have not tried that particular style, but I do wear Timberlands.
Timberland makes an excellent hiking boot. They also make very sturdy casual shoes.
I work in the car business, so I walk on asphalt, concrete, and tile for the greater part of the day. For most brands of shoes, I get six months or less per pair. So far, I get a year or more out of Timberlands (on my third pair for work.)
I also own a pair of Timberland hiking boots that I wear outside of work. I have used them for hiking when on vacation in the mountains. They work well and are very sturdy. Make sure to get a proper fit and to wear thick socks when hiking to avoid blisters, though.
I like Timberlands because they fit well, the soles will take a lot of wear and tear, and the uppers are sturdy as well (I have had a problem with other shoes coming apart at the seams and/or seperating from the soles, but never with any of my Timberlands).
