Can you hike long distances with snowboard boots?
Last year I went to Angel Fire, NM and froze my feet. This year I am planning to go again and maybe do some snowboarding but mainly just play with my kids on the snow but I don't know if I should buy snowboard boots or just plain snow boots. Are snowboard boots comfortable for long distance hikes, walking around town? wear them out of the snow on cold weather? I found some pretty good deals but I don't know which way I should go!!
Snowboard boots won't be very comfortable to walk around in.. the whole point of snowboard specific boots is to stabilize your ankle/foot, which doesn't lend itself well to walking. You're better off getting a good pair of winter boots for walking around town!
