I am after recommendations for brands of hiking boots for quite intense hiking.?
I don't know anything about brands but want one that will last and will be comfortable for both short bushwalks as well as several-day hikes (leading up to a Kokada trail hike). Would need to be waterproof. Any ideas or reviews?
My favorite hiking boots are made by a company called Hi-Tek. My wife swears by her Merrell boots. I have also had good luck with Bass and Columbia. Breathability is important but hard to get with waterproof boots. I would suggest getting a pair of wick a way socks that will take the moisture from your feet away from your body so you have less of a chance for a blister. Do not buy without wearing these boots first and do not hike without breaking them in beforehand. Good luck and good hiking!
