Camp Phoenix Afghanistan care package ideas please?
A friend of mine has just been sent to duty in Afghanistan. He will actually be serving on a military post there, and not in "the field". He won't need baby wipes or other such items as he will have access to a shower and a dining facility. Most advice on care packages are geared to the guys and gals out there in the dirt. Does anyone who has been there, especially to Camp Phoenix, have any ideas for things that would be appropriate and welcome? Thanks.

As for Care packages...CD/DVD anything but
Chocolate bars as they will be soup by the time
he receives the package...100%+ over there
No Airosol cans...No Porn..No Booze...No liquids
or glass containers of any kind...
The USPS have different size boxes for shipping...
a certain size box ships for a flat rate $8-$12...
You can only ship via USPS to an APO/FPO...
You can go to www.minumus.com they have
different types of Military Kits already made up...
You can ship directly from them to him...
(Have shipped many many Kits from them)
