Camping Cot Tent
Is it warm in a tent even in winter?
I have a double skin dome tent. Plenty of fleece blankets and one of those gas heaters. Also a camping cot so can sleep off the ground, and one of those heat reflector blankets. A hand warmer as well.
Would it be warm?
I have an extra ground sheet as well.
@ Only Fooling Myself. LOL, erm...well yes that would be a good way to keep warm of course. No need for heaters and hand warmers then

@ Casey. Everybody has to start at the begining. Nobody is expert at anything to start with, hence why I have the sense to ask for advice and do research before just setting off with the wrong gear.
Don't use a fuel powered space heater in a tent these produce carbon monoxide gas which can kill you. Fleece blankets are an excellent choice for a first layer combined with a winter rated sleeping bag with lots of loft and it will help keep you warm. Skip the cot unless you have at least 4 inches of closed cell foam padding under you. Sleeping on the floor is better as the ground will not get colder then 32F. Your double skin dome tent is an excellent choice just be sure that it is well set and all the seams are sealed along with they rain fly. The hand warmer is also not a good idea in the tent either for the same reason these also produce carbon monoxide gases.
keeping warm in winter camping is a multifaceted adventure. What you wear and your activities and diet all have an effect. The first thing to note is keeping dry. Strenuous activity causes sweat when you cease the activity your body is producing less heat and the moisture from sweat adds to the cold real fast. So dress for the conditions wear a first layer of wicking material like polypropylene under-ware then dress in layers like wool and fleece combined with a an insulating breathable outer layer like Goretex. do the same with your hands and feet.
Water bottles heated up and added to the bag before you hop in will get things warmed up to start you off just be sure to remove it before lights out you don't want to waste body heat trying to heat that up. Same thing when your bladder is full get up and go you'll sleep better and stay warmer. The heat reflector blanket is a good idea just don't wrap yourself up tight in it as it will trap moisture and that you want to avoid
Next is diet, your body needs carbohydrates and protein with lots of fluids to produce body heat so eat meals like spaghetti with meat balls and drink lots of water tea if you don't like plain water. Avoid the high sugar drinks like Gatorade. any way that's a few suggestions here are a couple of links with in depth information on winter camping
