Camping Books for Kids
Does anyone know the title of a (kids) book series featuring a summer horse camp and a palomino named "Joker"?
I read what I believe was the last book in the series when I was a kid and even as an adult I want to read the rest of them. There might have also been a horse called "Dark Victory" as well..
At one point the main character talks about how she didn't really want to go to camp because she was supposed to go with her best friend who ended up being unable to attend.
I remember one of the side characters (a girl) was obessed with "National Velvet" and when the campers wanted to make a promo video for the camp she suggested she do a reading from the book. Instead the rider of Joker and another girl rode him bareback while singing "Daisy Daisy" (replacing Daisy with "Joker") for the video.
That's all I really remember...
