Best beach to camp at in the South?
I am trying to plan a surprise vacation for my husband. He has never seen the ocean before(can you beleive it!!! he is 26!). I am needing a very low cost vacation. That is why I am choosing camping. We live in Arkansas so I don't want to have to drive to terribly far. Maybe Galveston, Texas or Gulf Shores, Alabama. If any one has any info on these places for camping it would be helpful. Also remember this is his first time seeing the ocean so I want it to be a really good experience so i will get to go back again. I love the ocean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well if you came here to jacksonville florida,you camp on a beach here called huganuts it cost 6 bucks a day,depends on the type of camping but it will not get higher than that,you can drive your car or truck on the beach,and you can camp right across Mayport navy base,very,very beautiful area.if you would like to leave your eemail address i will go out tomorrow and get the info you and your hubby will need and you wont regreat it,its away from the hustle and bustle but your near it if you need be.you'll be 2omin from jacksonvilles city,130 miles from orlando,fl and about 6 hour away from atlanta,ga.i can be reached at sippster2002@yahoo.com,i would be glad to get info for the two of you,oh and i forgot it has showers,and bathrooms and a lil stand were you can get breakfast or lunch and ice cream etc.right on the water which is all aroung you,what a lucky guy.
